About Marsha

I have over 25 years of experience in employee benefits, and I concentrate on designing and managing fully and partially self-insured ERISA plans for employers with 50 to 5,000 employees.

My focus is on creating long-term, sustainable benefits strategies that work for both the organization and its people, integrating HR technology, wellness initiatives, compliance management, employee and supervisor training, and proactive implementation of PPACA (Healthcare Reform) requirements.

My insurance career began as a secretary preparing group health insurance quotes. That led me to roles as a benefits agency office manager and marketing executive at a third-party administrator (TPA), before taking the leap to open my own agency in 1989.

Along the way, I’ve earned several professional designations, including:

• Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC)
• Certified Healthcare Reform Specialist (CHRS)
• Certified Self-Funding Specialist (CSFS)
• Advanced Chartered Benefit Consultant (ACBC)
• Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow (LUTCF)
• NAHU Certified in Wellness, Voluntary/Worksite
• Consumer Directed Healthcare (CDHC)

I grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and yes, I’m a proud LSU fan — Geaux Tigers! When I’m not working, I’m an avid pickleball player and boater. I also cherish time with my wonderful husband, three children, five grandchildren, and two lively dogs who keep us on our toes.
