About Josh

I am one of the relatively small number of Las Vegas natives, born and raised in the northwest part of town. I attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a B.S. in Business Management. I have worked as an independent broker since 1999, with my focus largely on construction, recreation/adventure, and government contractors. In 2015, I broadened my services into loss control and risk management, focusing on helping our clients maintain safe and effective work practices. My goal is to take clients from where they are and provide resources and assistance to help them reach the next level.  This allows us to reduce premiums and lower their Total Cost of Risk.

Leavitt Group has always been home to me. It has been a great adventure to work with family, both those related from birth and those who have joined our office family. It is incredibly satisfying to work in an organization built by people who act with integrity and put honesty and clients above all else.

I am married with five adult kids, all of whom I love to drag into the outdoors as often as possible. As a family we enjoy camping, rappelling, hiking, and cycling. I will answer my phone on the weekends… but it will likely be from the saddle of my bicycle, or mid-way through a rappelling trip.
