About Gary
Every day, I live by the mantra, “Show up and keep plugging away!” I think I’ve done a pretty good job of living by it, too, considering that I’ve been an independent insurance agent for over 40 years.
I joined Leavitt Group because they gave me the opportunity to enhance my agency and the services we offer. Our clients are the heart of what we do, so I do everything I can to treat people right and listen to what they’re saying. I’m respectful of their needs and make sure that I am consistent in how I represent myself, the agency, and the insurance companies we work with.
As a result of the time and care I’ve put into my work, I’ve been honored with a few different titles and achievements, such as Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), ‘89 President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Utah, Agent of the Year ‘92, and Independent Agents of Utah Young Agent of the Year ‘87.
I’m a long-time Utah native, having grown up in Vernal, Utah, and graduated from Uintah High School. I received an associate degree from the College of Eastern Utah (now known as Utah State University Eastern), and later graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
My wife and I have five children and eleven grandchildren. When I have free time, I enjoy fishing, playing the piano, reading, coaching youth basketball, and golfing at Skyway Golf Course.
